ChoreTree

Terms of Service

Effective date: July 25, 2026  ·  Provider: Kurtuluş Ahmet TEMEL ("we", "us"), maker of ChoreTree (the "App").  ·  Contact: support@kurtulusahmet.com

1. What ChoreTree is (and is not)

ChoreTree is a family chores & allowance tracker, set up and administered by a parent or guardian.

2. Eligibility

You must be an adult (18+) parent or legal guardian, or otherwise legally able to enter a contract in your country, to set up and administer a family in ChoreTree. By using the App you confirm this.

3. Accounts & your data

You do not create a username or password, and we never ask for your email. The App signs you in anonymously so your family's data can be linked to your device; you may optionally link Sign in with Apple so you can recover your family on a new device.

Your family's data is stored on our cloud backend (Google Firebase) so it can sync between your family's devices, and is readable only by devices signed in as members of your family. You add a device by sharing a short invite code — you are responsible for who you share it with, and for your family members' use of shared devices. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and how to delete it.

4. Your content

You and your family create content in the App (chore names, notes, child nicknames, goals, and so on). That content is yours. We store it only to operate the App for you — we do not moderate it, mine it, sell it, or claim any rights to it, and we do not use it to train anything. You are responsible for the content you enter, and we recommend using a first name or a nickname rather than a child's full name. You can permanently delete all of it at any time (see §9).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the App for unlawful purposes; upload content you have no right to; attempt to disrupt or abuse our push-notification service or App integrity checks; or reverse engineer the App except as permitted by law.

6. Premium subscription & purchases ("ChoreTree Family")

The App is free to use with a permanent free tier. An optional ChoreTree Family upgrade unlocks additional features and is offered as:

(Prices are set in your local currency by Apple and may vary by region; the figures above are indicative.)

All purchases are made through Apple's in‑app purchase and are subject to Apple's terms:

Downgrading to the free tier never deletes your data — content beyond free limits is frozen (read‑only) and is restored if you upgrade again.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." Syncing depends on our cloud backend, on the infrastructure providers we build on, and on your network and device settings — some of which are outside our control — so we cannot promise uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement, and we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error‑free.

ChoreTree is not a financial product, banking service, or money‑transfer service, and nothing in it constitutes financial advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kurtuluş Ahmet TEMEL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data arising from service, network, or device issues. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your family data at any time (Settings → "Delete all family data"). We may suspend or discontinue the App or features, or these Terms, with reasonable notice where practicable.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules, and the competent courts of Türkiye will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer‑protection law provides otherwise.
